October is one of my favorite months of the year. Is it because of the nippy weather? Nope. Is it because of the fun family activities we have planned? Well, yes, but there is another reason too. October is the only month of the year I can get BooBerry cereal. Each year, in a fit of nostalgia, I purchase two boxes of BooBerry. I eat one box for breakfast each morning until it is gone. I eat the other box slowly, savoring its yummy goodness until I run out. Then, I feel some sadness that I will not have BooBerry again until next year. Trust me when I say, I am not even kidding about my relentless search for BooBerry during October. During a recent trip to my local grocery store I had four people searching for a box of BooBerry. In reality I asked one and this caused a BooBerry stampede, with more and more people getting into the action to find the elusive cereal. It turns out I didn’t need to search far, I could find all the BooBerry I wanted at my local Target. They’ve also got a selection of other cereal perfect for Halloween that are sure to be a blast from the past in their retro packaging–FrankenBerry, Count Chocula, Fruit Brute and Fruity Yummy Mummy.
Before you take a shopping trip to Target, be sure to check out the Grocery Savvy Site to find out the latest cereal promotions at Target and enter a Grocery Savvy Sweepstakes Prize. While you are there check out the neat recipes they have to help you prepare yourself for a “ghoulish” good time this Halloween. I can’t wait to make some of these monster pops with the kids. Not only are they cute, they will be a hit at any fall parties we attend. Plus, we will make memories in the kitchen, which is priceless.
