Pet Smart -Bad to the Bone

Ba-Ba-Ba-Bad, Bad to the Bone. That’s what I’ve been humming whenever I look at Rio the Dorgi, our half corgi/half dachshund. He’s been sporting the latest styles from Pet Smart’s new Lyric Culture line. Sure, adults have been able to dress like this, so why shouldn’t our fashionable pets?

Lyric Culture, a line already popular with celebrities for its men’s and women’s clothing and accessories, is now offering ready-to-wear apparel for pets. Lyric Culture’s music inspired rockin’ fashion has gone to the dogs (and in our case, cats), and will include phrases from nine famous songs. Is your dog a “Material Girl?” Is she always “Walking on Sunshine?” Well, we think “All You Need is Love!”

As soon as Rio’s clothing arrived we slipped him into this adorable pink striped shirt. My daughter questioned, “Is this for a girl?” “Nope,” I replied, “Rio loves pink.” Really, he loves all colors since he is colorblind but the pink compliments his fur. He’s been quite the attention hog when we’ve taken him out in public with his new shirt. We hear compliments all the time. “Awww, isn’t that little dog precious?” (Yes.)

For cold days Rio has a warm fleece sweater proclaiming him “#1 Dog.” He looks so comfy when he goes outside or naps with his little sweater. I can almost see the visions of being top dog floating through his head. This sweater has a drawstring around the neck so it can be loosened or tightened if it needs to be adjusted.

Call me the crazy cat lady but I always keep a shirt on our cat, Mitzie.  She suffers from allergies and hormone problems causing her to lose all her fur. What fur she doesn’t lose on her own, she licks constantly until it falls off.  I’ve been asked-repeatedly-what I do to the cat to make her lose her fur. (nothing.) She is on medication to help prevent her from losing her fur but it hasn’t helped much.  Since she is often cold and constantly licking, the shirt helps keep her warm and prevent her from being able to lick a large amount of her body.  No one will ever mistake her for being “bad to the bone,” but it’s a cute shirt that covers a lot of bare skin.

That’s too adorable! Love the casual styles and I’m impressed, I don’t think my cats would stay still long enough to dress them up.

What cute babies you have. I am glad I am not the only one that dresses my animals! I love Pet Smart, there is only one where I live and I do not get there often because of how far it is, hoping they add a location near me so I can go more than just vet day.
