Ingredients:
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 eggs
3 tablespoons softened butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk chocolate chips
For Topping:
Buttercream frosting (recipe here)
1/2 cup hot fudge sauce (such as Smucker’s) for drizzle
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add paper liners to muffin pan. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Alternately add the flour mixture with the milk. Beat well after each addition. Fill the muffin cups 3/4 full.
Bake for 15 to 17 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. When cool, frost with buttercream frosting and drizzle with a ribbon of hot fudge sauce. .
