Preserve Memories with Peggy Bank & Giveaway
I have boxes and boxes of photos of my kids. I had good intentions about placing them into albums, sorted by age, but time got in the way. My good intentions went out the window. I found myself with two carefully sorted albums and a lot of boxed photographs. I think I managed to sort the pictures from birth to year one. After that, they’re on their own. As for VHS tapes of the kids, I have a stack of those along with my wedding and rehearsal video. I know these memories need to be stored and preserved (except for the wedding rehearsal video, which could go), but I wasn’t sure where to start.
I found PeggyBank, a company dedicated to preserving memories. PeggyBank was founded by Jim Simon in 2010 when he began attempting to transfer all of his families’ old films, videos, slides, and home movies to digital format and realized he was having difficulty transferring these images because so many of these items were obsolete. He knew if he was encountering such problems other people around the country were too. He created a team of experts to transfer these items to digital files and store them on a personalized PeggyVault. These files are available forever and can be accessed on a computer, shared with friends on youtube, through email or on Facebook.
PeggyBank is easy to use. All of the memories, pictures, videos, slides, whatever, can be sent in a special PeggyBox to the company. The box includes packing materials to keep items from being damaged during shipping. When the items have been converted to digital, the originals will be shipped back in their original form. If you are looking for a unique gift for the person who has everything, give them their memories.
One person will receive a $100 PeggyBank gift card.
