Merry Christmas, Baby with Rod Stewart (CD) & Giveaway

I remember listening to Rod Stewart on the radio when I was a kid in the eighties. I still burst into song whenever I hear his songs, Maggie and Tonight’s the Night. That’s why I couldn’t wait to hear his newest album, Merry Christmas, Baby released October 31^st by Verve. The album contains 16 classic hits and features duets with several other singers including Cee Lo Green, Michael Buble and Mary J. Blige.

I found in this new album Rod had a more mellow style than in past works, maybe because it’s Christmas music. His tone was relaxing and the melodies were pleasant. This would be a great CD to play at a Christmas party to produce a subtle background effect.
