“Where’s the Wish Book?” As a child I began asking my mom when the Sears Christmas catalog would arrive several months in advance. I could find everything I wanted in that catalog, from toys to clothes to Christmas decorations. When it finally arrived I would spend hours poring over the pages creating my Christmas list. I’d proudly present it to my mom, who rolled her eyes when she thought I had turned my back. (Now I can shop online through the Sears Online Christmas Shop. )
Naturally, Sears is my first stop when I visit the mall during the holidays. I can’t wait to see their Christmas trees, festively decked out with the newest collection of ornaments. Each year I tell my husband I want to try an “all new look” for the tree. He rolls his eyes when he thinks I’ve turned my back. (My presence seems to involve a lot of eye rolling.)
When I arrived at Sears I spent time browsing through their Christmas Ornaments and their outdoor Christmas decorations. I had decided on a box of ornaments when Bryan walked by and showed me an ornament shaped like a Craftsman saw. The box of ornaments was placed back on the shelf. We’ll be adding a saw to our tree this year.
I didn’t realize Sears had another section with Holiday pillows, rugs, kitchenware and more. I needed a new Christmas rug and found one covered in reindeer for $4.19. I wasn’t going to let that bargain slip away. Here’s what I finally decided on:
